LIBERTY COUNTY
Liberty County Adoptive and Foster Parent Association

Our meeting are held on the first thursday of the month @ 7:00pm. Mtgs are held at the Liberty County DFACS conference room. We are in the process of moving into our own office in January 2009. We celebrated with our children during our annual Christmas Party on Dec. 6, 2008 in the fellowship hall at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. We thank our local sponsors: Mt. Zion MBC, Liberty Branch NAACP, Perfect 10 (all female) Motorcycle Club, Liberty DFACS Board of Directors, Crystal Gaulden ( In Memory of Mrs. Delores Pray-Gaulden past DFACS board chairman ) and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

The association has also started a food bank and clothing closet. We truly believe in partnering with our local DFACS, however, we're endeavoring to be a caring and supportive resource in our community.

Dahlonega Care Thrift Store also gives a 10% discount for foster children. It is located across from the Huddle House.
The Lumpkin County  Adoptive Foster Parent Association meets the second Tuesday each month at 6:30 at the Park and Rec.
*The Lumpkin County Association has been in existence for 7 years.  It provided
computers for every foster parent, has a workshop each month for
scrapbooking, provides training and support for every foster family.
The officers are  Lisa Reed, President, Paige Dunn, Secretary, and Vickie Jarrett, Treasurer.
